I have 3 kids of my own. Stevie, Ryan, and Kelsey. They have served as my inspiration in so many things, perhaps the least of which is the idea behind this book. I have hired each of them, deducted each of them, and saved thousands of tax dollars because of each of them. But mostly, I have just loved them. This is not theory for me. This is what I have done with my own family
My goal for this book was simple. I wanted to show every sole proprietor with a child at home how to save over 5,000 in taxes by doing exactly what the IRS expects you to do. Create a job. Pay a reasonable wage. File the paperwork. Keep more of your money. The tax savings are waiting but you have to do it.

Licensed CPA with four decades of hands on experience in tax strategy, compliance, and small business accounting. Keith knows the tax code inside and out because he has lived it every day for forty years.

Thousands of hours spent helping entrepreneurs navigate complex tax situations, find legitimate deductions, and keep more of what they earn. Keith understands the unique challenges small business owners face because he has walked alongside them for his entire career.

Keith built his own business from the ground up in Frisco, Texas. He knows what it takes to run a small business, manage cash flow, and make smart financial decisions. He is not just advising from the sidelines. He is in the game with you.

Keith has used this exact strategy with his own three children. He hired them, paid them, completed all the paperwork, and saved thousands in taxes year after year. Every step in this book comes from real experience, not just textbook knowledge.
The first key point to tax planning is to always make sure you have included all income on your tax return. Do not intentionally exclude any money from the top line of your tax return, because a bunch of bad things can happen from there. Do not be creative or aggressive when it comes to income. Include everything. Always.
Key point number two for basic tax planning is this. Now that everything is on the tax return, be extremely creative, extremely aggressive, and extremely proactive in getting the money back off the tax return. That means deductions and exemptions and credits. Make sure that you take all of the possible deductions applicable to your business.
The best tax planning ideas are those that can take money you are already spending and convert it from non deductible personal expenses into fully deductible business expenses. That is exactly what this book teaches you to do. No shortcuts. No gray areas. Just solid, proven strategy.
